Stand Up to Trump: Twin Cities Activist Training and Workshop

Start: Saturday, December 16, 201710:30 AM

End: Saturday, December 16, 2017 2:30 PM

Why do we need to stand up to Trump?

  • He's working with his billionaire friends to unravel decades of hard-fought victories for people and the planet.
  • He's proposing an unprecedented 31 percent budget cut to the Environmental Protection Agency
  • He's cutting the budget for the most critical social programs, like healthcare and housing, to build a unwanted and expensive border wall with Mexico
  • He's endangering the lives and livelihoods of millions of our friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family with inhumane and xenophobic immigration policies
  • He's stacking the deck in favor of the top 1%
  • the list goes on!

That's why Friends of the Earth is working with our grassroots partners and activists across the country to hold workshops to help build the power we need to stop Trump’s attacks on people and the environment.

The main objectives for this workshop are:
  • Provide a space for activists to connect and develop strategies for how to protect our environment and stand up to Trump.
  • Share skills and training for effective community organizing and leadership
  • Connect the dots between environmental, racial, immigrant, and economic justice

This training is FREE! Lunch will be provided (registration required)!
