D.C. Citizens United for Clean Energy

The Renewable Portfolio Standard is a market-based mechanism that requires utilities to gradually increase the portion of electricity produced from renewables resources such as wind, biomass, geothermal, and solar energy. Thirteen states-including Texas- have enacted minimum renewable energy requirements.
