Friends of the Earth’s Clean Cars Program has developed a Solar Fuel Station Calculator to assist municipalities and businesses in determining the costs and benefits associated with installing solar fuel stations for electric vehicles. The calculator walks the user through a series of questions and provides answers for the following:
· Station Costs
· Net Present Value
· Internal Rate of Return
· Gas Cost Savings
· Grid Cost Savings
· GHG Emissions Reduced (annually / tons of CO2)
· GHG Cost Savings (savings associated with GHG emissions reductions based on a range of dollar values assigned to carbon emissions)
